A substantial donation from Burgess Pets & Equestrian Supplies has strengthened the practical resources available to dogs entering Congleton Dog Rescue. Sally, from the Mill Street shop in Macclesfield, provided medical supplies, food and equipment covering both everyday care and more specialist needs.
Support that can be used immediately
The collection included dog food, treats, collars, leads and harnesses, alongside medical supplies that can help the rescue respond quickly when a dog arrives. These are not background extras: they are the items used every day to feed, handle and support dogs safely.
Specialist equipment matters
The donation also included muzzles, with specialist options suitable for French Bulldogs. Correctly fitted equipment is important for welfare and safe handling, particularly when a dog’s head shape or medical needs make standard products unsuitable.
Having a range available means the rescue can choose equipment for the individual dog instead of trying to make one design fit every situation.
A long-standing commitment to rescue
Sally has spent much of her life supporting dog and horse rescues. That experience is reflected in a donation that combines generosity with a practical understanding of what rescue organisations actually need.
Thank you from the whole rescue
Congleton Dog Rescue is deeply grateful to Sally and Burgess Pets & Equestrian Supplies for this thoughtful contribution. The supplies will support current dogs and give the team more flexibility when the next urgent case arrives.
