On 19 December 2025, Congleton Dog Rescue confirmed that community fundraising since the organisation began taking shape in late August had reached £5,000. This is a dated milestone, not a current running total.
A foundation for a new rescue
The money did not come from one campaign. Individual gifts, sponsorship and small local fundraisers accumulated while the volunteer-run organisation was still building its basic care network.
Reaching £5,000 showed that supporters were prepared to fund the less visible work behind each dog: safe accommodation, initial assessment and the ability to respond when an unexpected cost appeared.
Why the date matters
A fundraising total changes as new donations and expenses occur. Recording the exact date preserves the meaning of the achievement without presenting an old figure as the rescue’s present position.
