Delta entered rehoming as an eleven-month-old Staffy cross with basic commands, a playful nature and plenty of adolescent energy. She was adopted on 14 November 2025 by a Stoke-on-Trent family prepared to keep training while giving her a full place in family life.
A young dog still needed structure after adoption
The rescue had seen a bright dog who enjoyed people, games and learning but would naturally test which boundaries were consistent. The chosen home understood that affection and training had to happen together.
Her first updates described the same cheeky character seen in care, now channelled through walks, play and rest. The adoption succeeded because the family expected a developing youngster rather than a finished adult dog.
A bright dog still learning manners
Delta was house trained, affectionate and eager to please, but she could pull on the lead and brought the persistence expected from a young dog. Short training sessions gave her a clear way to earn attention and helped the family reward the behaviour they wanted repeated.
Activity with an off switch
Walks and play provided outlets, while planned rest prevented every interaction from becoming another game. Her family understood that managing arousal would be as important as providing exercise.
