Callie modelled one of the blankets knitted by 90-year-old Violet, while a separate delivery from Sue added dog coats and other practical supplies for the winter period.
Violet’s work in every stitch
The blankets represented hours of skilled work rather than an off-the-shelf purchase. They created warm, washable resting layers for dogs adjusting to unfamiliar accommodation, and Callie’s photograph showed exactly how one would be used.
Sue’s practical winter delivery
Sue provided coats in addition to other useful items. Coats can help dogs who are older, thin-coated, recovering or struggling to maintain warmth during outdoor routines, provided fit and movement are checked for the individual animal.
Two different forms of useful support
One donation was made through time and craft; the other through ready-to-use equipment. Both improved comfort immediately. Congleton Dog Rescue thanked Violet and Sue for contributions that dogs could feel rather than simply appear in a total.
