Our Story

Congleton Dog Rescue was established by Dawn Cooke as a stepping stone to rescue and rehabilitate dogs, giving them the chance they deserve to be in loving forever homes. As a nonprofit, the rescue runs on a voluntary basis and is fully committed to the welfare of every dog.

Our Approach

Dawn ensures that every dog coming into the rescue receives the right support for rehabilitation before rehoming. Successful rehoming takes time, patience, and guidance — all new owners receive a detailed guide to help their four-legged friend settle into their new home.

Experience & Expertise

Dawn has a proven track record in assessing and rehoming Dobermanns through Adopt a Rescue Dobermann UK. Her passion for helping all dogs drives Congleton Dog Rescue to provide care for dogs of all breeds, ensuring each one gets a second chance.

Location & Support

Based in Cheshire, Congleton Dog Rescue works closely with Country Kennels & Daycare. Their dedicated team ensures the dogs are well cared for during rehabilitation, while Dawn personally assesses each dog before rehoming.

Voluntary Work & Donations

Congleton Dog Rescue is managed tirelessly by Dawn on a voluntary basis. Funding and donations support kennel costs, food, vets, bedding, toys, and ongoing rescue operations. Every contribution helps us provide the best care for the dogs in our rescue.

Our Impact

Over the years, Congleton Dog Rescue has positively impacted the lives of hundreds of dogs and their adoptive families. We focus on quality care, safety, and lifelong support rather than just numbers.
